Diet preferences and carb cycling: what Plait supports

Plait editorial · ·

Plait supports food preferences and exclusions in its meal-generation flow. It does not implement an automatic fasting schedule or a training-day carb-cycling protocol.

State your preferences clearly

Use Customize and the food-exclusion field to describe the foods you want to avoid. Generated ingredients must pass the app’s restriction checks. Read the resulting plan: a preference field is not proof that every specialized dietary protocol is fully supported by the available food catalog.

Keep goals and protocols separate

The selected nutrition goal determines the target adjustment. Daily recovery does not silently change that adjustment. A ketogenic diet, an intermittent-fasting schedule and carbohydrate periodization are different protocols; Plait does not promise to validate their medical suitability or automatically choose one from your wearable data.

Inspect a practical day

Review all meals, their weighed ingredients and the full daily macro total before relying on the plan. You can replace a meal while retaining stored restrictions. If the requested combination cannot produce a valid plan, the app preserves the previous plan and reports the problem rather than saving made-up nutrition totals.
